We do not stock Dell computers, but are used selection does often contain laptops manufatured by Dell. You should be aware that the quality of their customer
support has declined in the last few years. As an alternative to
Dell you may consider Acer for notebook computers or one of our high
quality desktop computers that we build and support.

In business since 1995, we are dedicated to our customers and their
computer needs. Because we are a small business we actually care
about the people that buy from us, they are not just a number on a sales
ledger, they are our friends. When you have a problem with one of
our computers you get to talk to the technician who probably built it!
You definitely can't say that about any of the global computer
companies, you can hardly get anyone on the phone who even knows what
they are talking about. Those are just some of the reasons why you
would be happier buying from G&H Computers.

The software that we use to keep track of inventory is currently not
suitable for running an online store. We are working towards a
more advanced software package that will allow us to run our business
more efficiently as well as offer online purchasing to our customers.

We will buy your computer as long as it is not older than two or three
years. Before we purchase a computer we will run our standard
diagnostics to find all problems with the system and then we will make
you a final offer based on the specifications and age of the computer
and the results of our diagnostics.

We offer a short term layaway plan at this time. We require a
third of the final price up front as a down payment, another third is
due thirty days from the purchase, and the final third is due sixty days
from the purchase.

First, due to the maturity of defenses against viruses the chance of
your computer being infected is fairly slim; however, to check, you can
try using one of the free anti-virus programs or services
listed on our
site to find and remove the virus, though it is always best to take it
to a qualified technician.

computers that are connected to the internet. To check for and

need to do?

|
Most newer computers have a built in power safety measure that will keep
you from turning your computer back on immediately after a power
interruption. To reset this feature, simply unplug the computer
from the wall for 10-30 seconds and try again. If that doesn't
work, it is likely you have a bad power supply and you will have to take
it to a qualified technician to get it replaced.
|
There was a burning smell and my computer shut off, what is wrong?
|

|
When you smell something burning it is usually a component in your
computer melting or burning up. The two most common culprits are
your power supply or your motherboard. To get the exact cause
diagnosed and the problem repaired you will need to take your computer
to a qualified technician.

My computer says to insert a boot disk, do you have one I can buy?
|

|
If your computer was working before and then all of a sudden started
giving you this error, there is a good chance that you have a failing
hard drive. You need to take it into a qualified technician
immediately so that there is a better chance to recover your data.

I have cable or DSL high speed internet, why can't I get on the
internet or check my email?
|

↑ |
|
Sometimes this issue can occur if you have lost connection to your
internet service provider (ISP) due to a power interruption, but there
are other causes as well. To reset the connection turn off your
computer and unplug your cable or DSL modem and your router if you have
one. Wait a few seconds then plug your router back if you have one
and after it has finished the boot up process (generally 20-30 seconds)
then turn your computer on. Next, plug your modem back in and let
it complete its boot up process and try your internet again. If it
still is not working you need to contact your ISP.

I bought a component from you and it doesn't seem to be working, can
I get it replaced?
|
↑ |
|
Sometimes components are defective right out of the box to get it
replaced bring it back and we will test it for you and replace it for
you. If you have had the component longer than thirty days then we
will have to send it back to the manufacturer or vendor for replacement
which could take a few weeks. You can find a link to our store
policies at the bottom of each page on the site.

|

|
There is really no difference between the two, they are two names for
the same thing invented by marketing departments years ago to help sell
their products.

Different notebooks use different AC adapters, there are no good
